Neermala Luckeenarain was born and currently resides in Mauritius, pursued her education in art across India and England and centres themes affecting women in her artwork. Her solo exhibitions include Kaleidoscope (2010) at the National Library of Port Louis, Mauritius and Arrival of Immigrants (2000) at the Municipality of Curepipe, Mauritius. She has also participated in global events such as the Internationale Biennale of Drawing, Macedonia, Skojpe (2016), Art Space, Ontorio, Canada in (2015) and the 87th Annual Internal Exhibition of Prints, Painting and Sculpture, AIFACS, New Delhi, India (2014).
